About The Photographer:
So you want to learn a little bit more about me, the photographer? Let me start by saying “thank you” for even considering to take the time to learn more about who I am! I am flattered. Well, my name is Matthew Alvarado. I am a Father, a Husband, a Wedding & Portrait Photographer and a native Texan. I was born and raised in San Antonio, home of the Alamo!
Upon moving to Hawaii, I knew I would need a camera to capture all of the beauty that abounds. So when I was 15, I took a chance and sold all of my musical equipment so that I could buy my first camera. After spending some time taking pictures of Maui’s beaches and lush landscapes, my focus shifted to portraiture. I fell in love with capturing people with my camera and decided to dive deeper into the field only to discover my ability to capture emotion and soul. This goes hand in hand with capturing weddings. Needless to say, selling off my Les Paul guitars and Marshall half stack amps proved to be a great investment in my future.
Outside of Photography, I have a soft spot for cars new and old, especially vintage muscle cars. I love food, fitness, gadgets and gizmos. I especially love to travel and see the world. Even more so I love all of the aspects of travel like packing and being in the airports, where I must look like a kid on a playground to everyone around me. Do I even need to mention how much I love music? It is my caffeine.
Now that I have told you a bit about me, I would love to learn more about you, your loved one and your wedding plans. I feel it is an important dynamic in the relationship of photographer and client to have the opportunity to know one another deeply and if that’s not your thing, no problem! Either way I hope to be your exclusive wedding photographer so that I can capture every step, laugh and tear you make, forever frozen in a photograph.
